Daniel Leffler Bergman

DANIEL L. BERGMAN, 86, of Palm Springs passed away June 23, 2008 in Palm Springs. He was born in 1921 to Rudolf Bergman and Edna Leffler in NYC, NY. He married Florence Green in 1944 in New York, NY. He was a CPA in NYC for 50 + years and continued volunteering his services after his retirement to Palm Springs in 1993. He was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, Brooklyn College, New York / Phi Beta Kappa, Columbia University, NY. He is survived by his wife, Florence, daughter Edna Lapkin of Palm Springs, granddaughter Emily (Ryan) Lapkin-Loveridge and great granddaughter, Maris Loveridge of Boston, Mass. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Dr. Martin Lapkin of Palm Springs. Services at 10 AM, Sunday June 29 at Forest Lawn Chapel in Cathedral City followed by Graveside services at Desert Memorial Park. The family suggests that donations be made to Temple Isaiah in Palm Springs.

Mistrial Declared in Obscenity Case ... Thanks to the PORNO JUDGE!

Judge under scrutiny declares mistrial in LA obscenity case

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A federal judge under scrutiny for posting sexually explicit material on his own Web site declared a mistrial Friday in an obscenity trial over which he was presiding.

Judge Alex Kozinski said he would ask that the case be assigned to another judge.

Kozinski is chief judge of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals but was serving as a trial judge in a federal obscenity prosecution of a man who distributed videos showing bestiality and extreme fetishes.

"In light of the public controversy surrounding my involvement in this case, I have concluded that there is a manifest necessity to declare a mistrial," Kozinski wrote in his order.

The postings on the judge's Web site came to light earlier this week when opening statements were under way. The trial was suspended Wednesday after jurors had already watched some of the videos.

This federal judge needs to be REMOVED from the bench. MAINLY because he tried to get his teenage son to take the "rap" for HIS porn (published, by-the-way, along with many legal reviews and case law)

Koziniski acknowledged posting sexual content on his website. Images on the site were a photo of naked women on all fours painted to look like cows and a video of a half-dressed man cavorting with a sexually aroused farm animal. He defended some of the adult content as “funny” but conceded that other postings were inappropriate."

Bored? Let's go feed the RATS in the natural area! This retired housewife of the Sunshine Villas feeds her GARBAGE to the rabbits and ground squirrels DAILY. Only problem is that it brings RATS and (ugh) COYOTES ! Someone make her S T O P !!
